You can sell your books to us - we buy quality books across a wide range of interest areas. We pay cash for books in-store and also do home visits for large and/or interesting collections.

Please note: our stock levels fluctuate enormously and we may not be able to buy your books if we have adequate existing stock in those areas.

Selling your books at Book Lore: Lyneham

For small amounts (less than 1 box) and fiction we can usually appraise/buy your books without an appointment.

For larger lots (2 or more boxes) please call the store (02 6247 6450) to make an appointment to have your books appraised by our buyers. It is useful to call before you come to avoid disappointment as a buyer isn’t always available and large collections cannot always be accommodated.

Appointments are essential for 8 or more boxes of books.

Tips for selling your books

For selling books at our stores

• Make an appointment before coming in to avoid disappointment if a buyer isn’t available
• Large collections require an appointment to avoid delays in peak times
• Please be aware our stock levels fluctuate and we may not be able to buy all of your books
• We cannot buy books with underlining, highlighting or notes throughout, please do not include these with books you wish to sell.

For selling books at a home visit appointment

• When making the appointment please provide as much detail as you can including the quantity of books and whether they are fiction or non-fiction and what categories they cover. The more information you can give us about the books the more we can help you.
• Sort your books before your appointment.
• Make sure that you only show the buyers books that you are ready to sell, to avoid confusion and delay.
